Purpose of the Association, Fields of Activity, and the Scope and Methods of Work to Be Carried Out by the Association
The Association was established with the aim of promoting scientific and social collaboration among physicians from various specialties and other healthcare professionals working in the field of cardiology and cardiovascular diseases; to create platforms for work and collaboration in these areas; and to support individuals and organizations conducting studies related to cardiovascular diseases.
Fields of Activity and Methods of Implementation of the Association:
- Follow research and developments in the field of cardiovascular health, and to encourage studies and research conducted in this field within the country,,
- To organize educational activities such as courses, seminars, conferences, and panels for healthcare professionals working in the field of cardiology,,
- To obtain all kinds of information, documents, publications, and materials necessary for the realization of the Association’s purpose; to establish a documentation center; to issue newsletters and informative bulletins to be distributed to members; and to provide information and communication to members via the internet in line with the Association’s objectives,
- To organize educational and informative meetings for both healthcare professionals in cardiology and public,
- To ensure a healthy working environment for the fulfillment of the Association’s goals and to procure all types of technical equipment, fixtures, and office supplies,
- To organize social events such as dinners, concerts, sports activities, trips, and recreational gatherings in order to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships among members, or to facilitate their participation in such activities,
- To purchase, sell, lease, rent, and establish property rights on movable and immovable assets as required for the Association’s activities,
- To cooperate, in accordance with Article 5 of the Law on Associations, with domestic and international organizations working on similar subjects,
- When deemed necessary, and without prejudice to the provisions of Law No. 5072 on the Relations of Associations and Foundations with Public Institutions and Organizations, to carry out joint projects with public institutions and organizations in areas related to their fields of duty,
- To establish foundations and institutions to carry out these activities.
Field of Activity of the Association
The Association operates in scientific and social fields.
Eligibility for Membership
Any natural or legal person who has legal capacity, has reached the age of 18, adopts the objectives and principles of the Association and agrees to work in line with them, does not have any legal impediment to being a founder or member of an association under the Law on Associations, and meets the conditions stipulated by the relevant legislation, has the right to become a member of the Association
Admission to Membership
Those who wish to become members of the Association shall apply to the Association's Board of Directors with a written petition accompanied by letters of recommendation from at least three current members. The Board of Directors shall review the membership application within a maximum of thirty (30) days and decide whether to accept or reject the application. The decision shall be communicated to the applicant in writing. Membership is finalized upon the payment of the entrance fee by the accepted applicant. New members shall be registered in the official membership registry kept for this purpose.
The principal members of the Association consist of the founding members and those who are admitted to membership by the decision of the Board of Directors upon application.
Individuals who have provided significant material or moral support to the Association may be granted honorary membership by resolution of the Board of Directors.
